Alan Simpson's Teat Suckers - Cartoon

Alan Simpson recently remarked about Social Security, "We've reached a point now where it's like a milk cow with 310 million tits! Call when you get honest work!"

Simpson sees America as a nation of teat suckers. I choose to illustrate that with pigs instead of cows.

Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles co-chaired a failed Presidential Commission called the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. The mandate for this commission was to produce a report to outline deficit reduction solutions. The commission failed to produce a report. The co-chairs released a memo that reflects their own opinions, but really should have no value in informing legislation. In short their memo and the propaganda use of it is freakish and monstrous.

The source image for this caricature of Alan Simpson is a Creative Commons licensed photo from Park County Library System's Flickr Photostream.

The source image for the face of Erskine Bowles is an image in the public domain from the United States Senate Budget Committee.

The source image for Alan Simpson's body in this cartoon is from a photo available via the Library of Congress.

The source image for the sow with litter in this cartoon is a Creative Commons licensed photo from gurdonark's Flickr Photostream.

NOTE: I could not find a large source image of Mr. Bowles so I was forced to represent him as a erupting boil on Alan Simpson's shoulder.

Not a photo, but a cartoon drawing this time... It may be the beginning of a whole series of this kind. Perhaps I shall create another account for that, or use my webspace, tough.
See my blog (or website, see the flickr profile) for information about that.

Las Vegas - Monte Carlo

Keep watching the kids cartoon "Wonder Pets". This photo of mine may be used in the cartoon as a backdrop soon !!

I came across a site called www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=montecarlolasvegas-lasvegas-..., as I too like photo'ing building...most of my published/used work is of building. The site has lots of facts and stats on buildings all over the world. The stats they have on buildings is massive! .....

This Monte Carlo is the 26th tallest building in LV as of April 2007, and is 110m high and built in 1996 with 32 floors. The hotel building is modeled after the Place du Casino in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Monte Carlos sits on 54 acres of land, which is about one-tenth the area of Monaco itself. The resort's total of 3002 rooms is greater than all of Monaco, which has only 2500. The hotel's grand opening was June 21, 1996. The resort's in-house brewery, The Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery, is the first brewery on the strip.
