WARNING: NERD ALERT!
Roy Focker's VF-1S Veritech Fighter, Robotech (1/100 Scale)
I acquired this dust collector just over twelve months ago from a comic book shop in Liverpool (England) called Worlds Apart. I was on holidays.
I grew up watching the '80's cartoon Robotech and remember watching it with my big brothers who got me into cool things. Over time I got some of it on video - but not the whole series - and have scheduled to purchase the DVD remaster ("The Protoculture Collection") sometime soon. I think that is was a smart move, by the PTB*, to release all the old shows in one collection. It's nice to sit down and immerse myself in the whole story without any advertising interruptions or the angst of waiting for the next episode. Who buys a book with chapters missing? Well I apply the same theory (most times) to film/tv collections.
This collectible sits on my shelf as a reminder to buy the collection. Payday after next perhaps...
I did some research on this particular item after I (impulse) bought it. I discovered it was manufactured by the company Toynami who make other cool collectible toys such as the Masterpiece Voltron.
The original design for the Veritech Fighter was from a fella called Shoji Kawamori who recently designed the Hybrid Convoy (Optimus Prime) and the Masterpiece Starscream (The Seekers) released by Takara.
This toy is a pretty decent quality, although I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Revoltech (036) by Kaiyodo which was released in '07. So if you see one anywhere (or have one to trade) give me a holler. See comment below (edit 02.09.08).
Now I was going to wait until I purchased the DVD's to photograph this (like I did with GITS), but it was just looking right for today.

wtcc - Larini crashes into Jorg Muller.

View On Black
A bit of action when Jorg Muller spun his BMW in front of Larini. The Chevrolet pilot won't go any further.
I like the cartoon / drawing impression about this photo. I believed it's due to the smoke on the track and the use of a high ISO setting : 800 Iso.
Sorry, no group images - Thanks .
