... created with Michael Doret’s | Alphabet Soup outstandingly beautiful script face »Dynascript«.

Typography enters the Space Age! Dynascript brings the ease of “Pushbutton Automatic” to your typesetting experience. Dynascript is actually Two fonts in One–without switching fonts you can instantly change from Dynascript’s connecting font to the non-connecting italic with the simple push of a button. For more details download “The Dynascript Manual” from the Gallery Section.
What is Dynascript? Dynascript is the slanted script cousin of Dynatype. It shares many of the characteristics of it’s sibling, but is drawn entirely from scratch and has it’s own unique character.
To some it may be reminiscent of various mid-century neon signage, and of sign writing, Speedball alphabets and even baseball scripts. The design of Dynascript also takes some cues from a historical typographic curiosity that began in Germany in the ‘20s and which lasted into the ‘60s—when Photo-Lettering gave it the name "Zip-Top". Basically it was believed to be the wave of the future—that by weighting an alphabet heavier in its top half, one could increase legibility and reading speed. The jury’s still out on whether or not there’s any validity to this claim, but I think you’ll agree that in the context of this design, the heavier weighting at the top of the letters helps to create some uniquely pleasing forms, and a script unlike any other.
Typesetters across the planet will also be able to set copy in their language of choice. Dynascript’s 694 glyphs can be used to set copy in: Albanian, Basque, Catalan, Cornish, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Esperanto, Estonian, Faroese, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Kalaallisut, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Maltese, Manx, Norwegian BokmÃ¥l, Norwegian Nynorsk, Oromo, Polish, Portuguese, Slovak, Slovenian, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Turkish, and Welsh—and of course English. Sorry! Off-world languages not yet supported.

Gaza: Israeli Overkill does not legitimise Palestinian Terror Rockets

HOW I READ THE SITUATION IN GAZA

I just noticed that another (Facebook) initiative supporting a protest demonstration in Amsterdam (*) against the Israeli recent military actions and retaliation bombardments for the multiple rocket barrages from Gaza in response to the drone-execution of a Hamas leader... how to summarise such a train of events... uses a 2008 cartoon by Simon Farr on the Israel/Palestine/-Gaza conflict of 2008, originally published in The Guardian of December 31.

I know that a cartoonist needs to simplify his message, but when I see that picture functioning now to rally people for what they think is "a just cause" my inner eye reads the cartoon in a different way, even when I know that the death toll in israel has been 3 till now and in Gaza 5 or 6, who knows how many times higher.

I would not support guys next door to me to send rockets over the wall of our prison camp, knowing that on the other side they will shoot half of them out of the air and also will come back to us with this 5 tot 10 times stronger retaliation bombardments.

I would do my best to stop the "amateurish but deadly rocket launching next doors, if only to safe myself and my dearest ones. I would be a fool to argue in such a situation that the firing of rockets next to my house would be in any way something that would defend me. On the contrary anybody knowing the past would agree that having rockets launching next to your house inside the prison walls of the Gaza-strip is endangering all who live around that spot.

If I would be courageous enough to say it? I can not judge, as the shoot-reday defenders fighting for liberty tend to have little mercy with anything opposing their suicidal quest for salvation.

So this depiction and the demonstration slogans that go with it (Stop The Attack on Gaza) , are not helping the Palestinians living in Gaza at all...

The overwhelming power of Israel's army and intelligence forces and the way they strike back at any serious threat, do not legitimise the sprawling of rockets onto civilian areas in Israel. This is a criminal act as well as the summary executions by drones of Hamas leaders and the bombing of targets in Gaza which do have many civilians living around. The fact that fighters for the Palestinian cause do use civilians as a cover, does not give the Israeli Army a free hand to target such areas, whatever the Law of War may say. It is morally unacceptable. Such morals are to be considered in both camps.

-----
We the not imprisoned, we the outsiders, should say STOP to both sides in the conflict\:

STOP using weapons, try to break out of the injustice and imprisonment in a different way.If the answer from the combative belligerent Palestinians is that weapons are their only way out, you may try and argue that it will be in a literal way "a dead end."

This because, now all those demonstrators coming weekend of 17/18 November 2012 - all over the World - will when they shut up about this and just choose to support the military weaker side and direct all their anger at Israel, they will encourage the rocket launchers to keep going with their disastrous stupid acts, they will help prolonging the conflict.

Yes, they will give the hawks in Israel exactly what they want. To demonstrate the overpowering force of the Israelian Army. One sided support demonstrations will also silence the good willing people in Israel who try with their small grass root initiatives to go beyond the Palestine/Gaza stalemate, who work for years to try and create friendship and cooperation across these terrible dividing lines.
